HSEO Stakeholder Briefing on Resilience Project Funding
Please join HSEO for an informative virtual stakeholder briefing about its plan to distribute federal formula grant funds to support energy resilience measures in Hawai‘i. The funding source is the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) section 40101(d). HSEO is developing a plan to make sub-awards to eligible entities to implement resilience measures as defined by the IIJA.
Representatives from the eligible entities as defined by the IIJA should attend.
The Act defines eligible entities as:
- electric grid operators
- electricity storage operators
- electricity generators
- transmission owner or operators
- electric distribution providers
- fuel suppliers
HSEO staff will discuss its draft plan to distribute the formula grand funds including overall program objectives, criteria for project selection, performance metrics and other considerations. Stakeholders are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback on the plan.
