Volkswagen Settlement

Hawai‘i is a beneficiary of the “Volkswagen (VW) Settlement” stemming from violations of the Clean Air Act by Volkswagen and related entities. The Hawai‘i State Energy Office administers the  Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust funds and executes eligible environmental mitigation projects to reduce vehicle emissions in Hawai‘i.

Energy Industry Information Reporting Program (EIIRP)

The Energy Industry Information Reporting Program (EIIRP) aims to monitor and report on various aspects of the energy industry in Hawaii. It applies to several categories of entities involved in the energy sector including fuel Importers, exporters, producers, and sellers.
